Global Issues Network works to shine light upon worldwide problems and enlightening others to help to work towards a better tomorrow.

"Think globally, act locally"
WHAT IS GIN?
GIN is a global community that revolves around young changemakers such as yourselves. Students who have remarked upon global societal issues, and strive to resolve them. We do so by looking at the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Each project group selects one goal that they focus on, and through observing the international affairs that impact said goal, come up with projects that can be executed in our own community, in order to aid the progress on their chosen goal. Or in short; ‘thinking globally, acting locally’. This is wonderful, because as mentioned, there are many other schools that participate in GIN, and thus the Network as a whole ends up making a large difference in the world.

MEET THE TEAM
We are a group of student and teacher supervisors/advisors, who run GIN at ISH. We strive to improve GIN every year, to make it more enjoyable and a nice experience for the students. This year we have 11 student advisors and 9 teacher supervisors. We take care of aspects like communications to organizing the presentations, sessions, and events that happen at ISH.

One of the many events (but the biggest one) is organizing GIN Day, where we also invite other GIN students to join our groups to organize the day and take part in it too (this year it might not be possible because of COVID-19 regulations).

The student advisors (alongside teacher supervisors) are usually present in at least one of the sessions every day, so if you have any questions, don't be shy!
